Encaustic Face Mask Making - 2 day Discover the vibrant world of encaustic painting in my 2 day Encaustic Face Mask Making Workshop at Dandy’s Art Studio. This will be held Saturday and Sunday 10:00 a.m. - Noon on both days. Day 1 in this workshop, you'll be preparing plaster strips and building a mask of your face. This will definatly be messy so wear something you don't mind getting dirty. It has to have time to not only dry, but to cure so it is essential we add the encaustic on day 2. Day 2 of this workshop you'll explore the encaustic medium and learn how to set up your encaustic workspace. We will go over safety techniques, application, fusing methods, and various mark-making approaches as we add wax to your mask. I will guide you step by step throughout this fun filled workshop, but the true success lies when you let your own creativity explode with however you want your mask to turn out. Perfect for beginners and seasoned artists alike, this workshop invites you to unleash your creativity and experiment with this unique medium. Join us to create stunning, original face mask!
